New Learner

New learner programme is for clients who have never driven before, and will take you from start to finish to become a safe and confident driver.
You will have cover our complete curriculum, bringing you to a standard that meets the requirements of the DVSA practical test and above.
We get a lot of people ask how long will this take, but there really is no answer.
Every individual is different and will learn at a different pace.
Guidance from the DVSA is that a 17 year old with an excellent learning ability should look to be taking approximately 47 hours of tuition with a qualified driving instructor, and an additional 22 hours of private practice at home.
As a basic guide, our AVERAGE student tends to take anywhere from 25-35 hours, but some have taken 77 hours.
We will guide and coach you through the whole process and will not hold you back from taking your practical test when we feel you meet the standard required to pass the DVSA test.
The ultimate decision as when to take the test once we have suggested that you are at the appropriate standard will be down to you.
We highly recommend because of the huge backlogs with driving tests, is that you attempt to be theory test ready (or have even passed it) prior to starting your practical lessons as this will save you money in the long run.

We reserve the right to refuse to take a client to test in our vehicles if we feel that the standard of their driving does not meet the requirements of the DVSA. All our clients have the right to still take their test but it will have to take it in a vehicle other than ours.
